Real Madrid have slapped a valuation of €20million on Alvaro Odriozola, with Fiorentina assessing different options to keep the Spaniard in Italy for the next season.
As reported by Firenze Viola, Real Madrid have labelled a price tag of €20million on the permanent services of Odriozola. The 26-year-old joined La Viola on a season-long loan last summer.
With the 2021/22 season edging to an end, Odriozola has done justice to the name of his parent club with his impressive performances at Florence.
Having made 22 Serie A appearances for the club, Odriozola has established himself as the first-choice right-back in Vincenzo Italiano’s side. As a result, the club management is in the favour of keeping the full-back at the club for a longer period.
Per the report, Fiorentina are also assessing the prospect of extending his loan spell for an extra year. But there remains another hurdle, with Los Blanocs asking for the payment of the entire amount of the player’s annual salary, estimated to be around €4million. Currently, La Viola pay only half of that, with Real Madrid paying the rest.
Considering the likelihood of Fiorentina failing to reach an agreement with Real Madrid over the signing of Odriozola, Italiano wants to bring in another top-quality right-back to provide the respective position with some adequate cover. Fiorentina are currently assessing all hypotheses to come to a concrete decision.
