Roma make fresh contact for ex-Torino striker Andrea Belotti

Andrea Belotti left Torino as a free agent after his contract with the Piedmontese club expired earlier this summer. Roma want him as a potential deputy for Tammy Abraham.

According to journalist Marco Conterio, Roma have made fresh contact with the entourage of Andrea Belotti over a summer transfer for the Italy international.

Since leaving Torino, Belotti has not managed to find a new club. There have been several clubs being interested in making a move for the dogged striker.

But with the forward intending to continue his career in Italy, he has already ruled out a move to Major League Soccer.

Roma have already signed Paulo Dybala. Although the official confirmation of that has not arrived yet, it is understood that La Joya have signed a three-year contract with Jose Mourinho’s side.

Now, the Giallorossi management is plotting a transfer for the 28-year-old sharpshooter, who was Dybala’s teammate at Palermo. Mourinho, as mentioned before, wants to bring in a suitable deputy for Abraham ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
