Roma reach an agreement with Ola Solbakken until June 2027

Roma have reportedly completely another free move, with Bodø/Glimt forward Ola Solbakken understood to have reached an agreement over a transfer to the Giallorossi.

According to what is reported by Il Tempo, Solbakken has agreed to a pre-contract with Roma as the Norwegian’s contract with Bodø/Glimt expires on December 31, 2022. The report suggests that the 24-year-old will sign an agreement with Jose Mourinho’s team until June 2027.

Roma general manager Tiago Pinto has understandably been working on bringing in the Norwegian for months and has eventually managed to strike a deal with the player. Roma have beaten a close Italian rival in Napoli to secure the services of Solbakken.

The player has been awaiting his next destination since July. In the summer, Roma decided against pushing hard for his signature but increased the pace of the pursuit after the end of the transfer window.

It is also claimed that Solbakken’s arrival in January will impact the futures of multiple players at Roma. Eldor Shomurodov will reportedly return to the transfer market, and Stephan El Shaarawy might also have to consider joining another club.
