Roma target Sasa Lukic valued at €20m by Torino amid interest from Premier League

Jose Mourinho and Roma have made an attempt to lure Sasa Lukic away from Torino this summer. But they need to pay a hefty fee to complete the coveted move.

As written in today’s edition of La Stampa (via Voce Giallo Rossa), Sasa Lukic’s market value has rapidly increased since Ivan Juric joined the club last summer.

While Lukic was valued at €10 million previously, Urbano Cairo has suggested that a club needs to pay €20 million to sign the player in the summer of 2022.

Lukic, who has a contract at Torino until June 2024, is considered a non-transferable asset by the club hierarchy. Juric would love to have the player at his disposal for the next season.

However, should an unavoidable offer arrive, the Piedmontese side could consider sacrificing the Serbia international. At the moment, there is no offer on the table of Torino for Lukic, but there are loads of interest in the players from both Italy and abroad.

In Italy, Roma have identified the 25-year-old as a potential transfer target, with several clubs from the Premier League understood to be monitoring the situation.

Torino intend to extend the midfielder’s contract to avoid a scenario similar to that of Andrea Belotti. Now, the rest depends on the player. He could either stay put in Turin or leave the club in the summer.
