Serie A side Salernitana are said to be interested in a summer move for Man Utd’s Edinson Cavani.
La Repubblica have reported about the situation of Cavani recently, with Salernitana said to be already looking at their plans for the summer transfer window. Walter Sabatini is encouraged by the club’s survival in the Serie A and he wants to make a mark in the summer.
The sporting director wants to hand Davide Nicola Cavani this summer, with the Uruguayan’s contract at Old Trafford running out soon. It is stated that the veteran would gladly return to Italy, with Fiorentina also linked with a potential move for the ex-Napoli hero.
The relationship between Cavani and Sabatini is said to be very good and because of that, the ‘crazy idea’ could be rather concrete. The striker’s fitness issues have made sure that he has not been a regular for United this season but he was key for the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season.
