Spurs loanee Destiny Udogie: “I still haven’t heard from Antonio Conte”

Destiny Udogie signed for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window of 2022. The Premier League club, alerted by the superfluousness of their wing-back department, decided to send Udogie back on loan to Udinese.

However, it appears that the 19-year-old is ready to take on the challenges ahead of the Italian in the Premier League. In an interview with La Repubblica, Udogie admitted that he had not held talks with Spurs manager Antonio Conte since signing for the London-based club. The former Hellas Verona man said:

“Serie A helps you grow. The months I have left here on loan at Udine will be important to improve further. With my focus, I’m here now. I still haven’t heard from Antonio Conte. The Premier League, however, doesn’t scare me. The game is fantastic, and I’ve always spoken English at home with my parents, who were born in Nigeria.”

Reports claim that Tottenham signed the youngster for an initial fee of around €18 million. Udogie is expected to leave the Friulian side for Spurs at the end of the 2022/23 season.
