Udinese and Arsenal locked in negotiations for Héctor Bellerín

Udinese have emerged as one of the interested parties looking to sign Héctor Bellerín from Arsenal this summer. The defender is closer to moving away from the London club than staying there for another season.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Udinese continue to hold talks with Arsenal to reach an agreement over a deal concerning Héctor Bellerín. It is reported that the Spaniard would like to sign a one-year contract. Andrea Sottil would gladly take the Barcelona-born full-back on a permanent deal.

In the summer transfer window of 2021, Bellerín joined Real Betis on a season-long loan deal after it had become clearer to him that he would not be getting a good amount of game time for Mikel Arteta’s team.

Upon returning to his native land, the 27-year-old made 32 appearances, garnering five assists across all competitions.

During his loan spell at Betis, he also lifted the coveted Copa del Rey. He has come back to Arsenal following his loan spell in Spain. With the player’s contract expiring in June 2023, Arsenal are also in hurry to offload Bellerín as quickly as possible as they would be unwilling to lose him for free next summer.
