Antonio Conte appears to reject Napoli links

Antonio Conte has possibly rejected Napoli’s recent advances for the role of the head coach at the club.

According to a post from one of Antonio Conte’s official social media channels via Get Italian Football News, the former Atalanta, Inter and Juventus manager claimed that he does not have any plans to return to coaching in the near future. Conte posted: “I reiterate that for now there is only the will to continue to sit still and enjoy with my family.”

Following a series of underwhelming performances, Napoli are now evaluating options in the market to replace current manager Rudi Garcia. The Frenchman was appointed as the head coach by the Partenopei at the start of this season after Luciano Spalletti announced his sabbatical.

In the last few hours, it has been predicted that the club CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis has decided to propose a mutual termination of Garcia’s contract by keeping the manager’s image intact. However, Conte’s message comes as an opportunity for rethinking for the Napoli management as they must now look forward to negotiating with other managerial candidates in the market.
