Atalanta have now rejected an offer from the Premier League for Rasmus Højlund and it is likely that the offer was from Manchester United.
It was reported some days ago that United would soon make an offer for the Danish striker and it seems as if the offer has come through and sent back already.
TuttoAtalanta today state that the hunt for Højlund has begun and a Premier League club – very likely to have been United, made a €35 million offer for the striker. It was made in the last few hours. La Dea have rejected it already and have made their price tag clear.
They want €50 million plus bonuses that can take the deal to upto €70 million to €80 million. Apart from United, Inter, Milan and Napoli are also interested in the 20-year-old and there is now an increasing risk of auction, with Atalanta looking to maximise the amount they earn from his sale.
It was previously suggested that La Dea value Højlund at about €60 million but the price seems to have escalated.
