Barcelona keen on Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat despite rejected bid

Fiorentina have rejected Barcelona’s offer for Sofyan Amrabat but the Catalan side remain keen on the midfielder.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that La Viola have pegged back Barcelona’s offer of a total of €40 million for the Moroccan and they do not want to sell the player.

Daniele Longo meanwhile, has stated that the Spanish side have not been discouraged by the rejected bid and remain keen. The player is said to be enthusiastic about the idea of joining Barcelona and is waiting to see if anything can work out. Alfredo Pedulla though, reports that Fiorentina are not selling him at any cost.

This comes after ViolaNews had stated that Fiorentina are indeed not looking to sell the midfielder as they have no time to prepare for a replacement or sign one on deadline day.

Amrabat has been previously linked with moves with Liverpool and Tottenham, but Fiorentina have remained strong in their stance.
