Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier is likely to become the next Napoli manager, with Rudi Garcia still in the race.
Il Mattino have reported about Napoli’s hunt for a new boss, with Aurelio de Laurentiis having missed out on his preferred candidate in Vincenzo Italiano. But De Laurentiis is about to make a decision soon and Galtier is now leading the race to manage the club next season.
At Paris Saint-Germain, procedures are being prepared for his exit from the club. He will earn a severance pay of €6 million and then make a decision, with relations between him and De Laurentiis said to be quite good. At Napoli, he could earn €8 million per season gross and add-ons related to the Champions League. He remains the favourite for the role.
Rudi Garcia is also an option and he will be a cheaper option. The reason why Paulo Sousa now remains a secluded option is the fact that De Laurentiis would have to pay a severance fee to land him and he is quite reluctant to do that.
