Victor Osimhen unlikely to sign new Napoli deal

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is unlikely to sign a new deal with Napoli, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2025.

Il Mattino today have written about Osimhen’s future at the Partenopei. Yesterday, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda asked club owner Aurelio de Laurentiis to take stock of the situation of the Nigerian. He has made it clear to Napoli that he has two offers – one from Chelsea and one from Paris Saint-Germain.

It is time for Napoli to assess the situation, especially considering that Osimhen has expressed his desire to not sign a new deal at the club, with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2025. This will help him leave the club next summer at a lower fee and he will not be held ransom by the club, who could ask for a huge amount even next summer if he ends up renewing the current contract.

For Napoli, it will be very difficult to refuse a huge offer and they are already looking at some names. One of them is Salernitana’s Boulaye Dia, who impressed in Serie A this season.
