Former Napoli Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli is set to sign a contract at Juventus. He’ll become the Sporting Director of the Bianconeri for the following five seasons.
That Giuntoli would become the new Sporting Director of Juventus has not been a secret. Sky Sports report that the 51-year-old Giuntoli will sign his contract at Juventus today, July 4th. After Napoli finally let Giuntoli leave, he had a contract until 2024 in Naples, the director has made his way to Turin to put pen to paper.
Giuntoli will start working immediately and has already scheduled a meeting with Giovanni Manna, his deputy. Together they’ll make a plan for the upcoming summer transfer window. Of course, head coach Massimiliano Allegri has to be satisfied with this plan as well. This isn’t the first meeting between Giuntoli and Manna according to Sky, the two have spoken for hours already.
A player that has already made Giuntoli’s list is Spezia’s Emil Holm. Giuntoli tried to bring Holm to Naples last January. Now, Juventus could offer the Swede an opportunity to stay in Serie A.
