Danilo D’Ambrosio is close to joining Lazio as a free agent as both the player and the club are keen.
According to a report by Sky Italia, Serie A side Lazio are just a few steps away from signing Danilo D’Ambrosio on a free transfer. The right-back confirmed his exit from Inter last week as his contract ran out with his former club refusing to extend it.
The 34-year-old said goodbye to the Nerazzurri after being associated for a decade with them since his transfer from Torino in the winter of 2014.
Before leaving on free agency, he mustered 295 appearances across all competitions with the current Coppa Italia champions. D’Ambrosio left Inter with a Scudetto, two Supercoppa Italiana and two Coppa Italia under his name.
The Biancocelesti are also interested in reinforcing their striking options and after the confirmation of Danilo D’Ambrosio’s signing, they are set to go for RB Leipzig’s Andre Silva.
