Everton make contact for Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic

Premier League side Everton are trying to sign Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic in the January transfer window.

Arnautovic was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer but the move didn’t go through for reasons that have been disputed by the parties involved in the deal.

Marco Conterio has now reported about Everton’s interest in the Austrian, claiming that the Toffees want to sign a striker this month after having failed in a loan move to bring Duvan Zapata on loan from Atalanta.

Through intermediaries, Everton have established contact for Arnautovic and they want to sign the striker this month. The player is about to return from an injury soon this month and could be available for selection in the next few days.

Arnautovic and Zapata are not the only Serie A-based strikers Everton have tried to go after, as they have also had an approach rejected by Udinese for Beto, who has impressed since his arrival in Italy.
