Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto has been linked with a move to Everton throughout the window and working is being done to close a deal.
Tuttomercatoweb report today that Everton want to make one last attempt to sign the Italian this summer, with deadline day about to conclude in a matter of hours. There is still a possibility of the winger joining the Toffees, with his agent having flown in to London to speak to Everton in an attempt to bring forth the signing.
There is a willingness in all parties to potentially conclude the deal and work is being done to reach an agreement. More updates are likely to emerge later in the day, with Gnonto having already pushed to leave Leeds after their relegation from the Premier League.
He had sparkled in the top flight last season and didn’t train with the Whites, after he had tried to force through an exit earlier in the summer.
