There is a growing possibility that Lazio could sign Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood on a free transfer today.
It was reported yesterday that Lazio had been in contact with Greenwood’s representatives after the Englishman was offered to them.
Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that contacts remain ongoing and Greenwood has opened up to the a move to the Biancocelesti, with United having decided to cut ties with him. But Maurizio Sarri’s approval is yet to arrive for the transfer.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito is in contact with the player’s agents and he is really pushing for the move to go through. Lazio want to sign him on a free transfer and that can happen, with the Roman club willing to offer €700k a season as a wage to the striker. Lazio will keep on holding talks through later in the day as they look to seal the move.
