FIGC investigate Milan’s meeting with Curva Sud leaders

FIGC is now investigating the Milan team’s meeting with the Curva Sud leaders after the loss to Spezia yesterday.

The loss to the relegation threatened side was Milan’s second 2-0 loss in a row, and it came days after the 2-0 loss to Inter in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. After the game, Curva Sud leaders were speaking to the whole Rossoneri team.

ANSA have now learned that the meeting is now under investigation. FIGC believe that it is important to verify whether the speech given by the Curva Sud leaders was a simple encouragement or it was a threat issued to the side, ahead of the all important Champions League semi final second leg.

During the meeting, the players only listened to what was being said by the leaders and Stefano Pioli, who was also present, later stated that they were only trying to spur the players on.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that threats were not involved in the face-to-face meeting.
