Fiorentina eye January move for Empoli’s Tommaso Baldanzi

Fiorentina will look to bolster their side in January and are eyeing a move for Empoli star Tommaso Baldanzi.

Compared to Paulo Dybala, Baldanzi has been a name on the lips of many in Italian football because of his sparkling performances with the Azzurri.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Baldanzi is a potential target for La Viola in January but there is no shortage of competition for the youngster. In the summer, La Viola were very close to sealing a move for the Italian but it didn’t materialise. They want to make sure that they do not fail this time around.

Talks between Empoli and Fiorentina have constantly taken place, with relationship between the two said to be excellent and that is evident from Fabiano Parisi’s move.

Empoli know that letting Baldanzi leave in January would be a risky move and they would much rather sell him in June for a higher fee. But La Viola do not want to give up and they could try to make sure that they agree a fee with Empoli in January but bring him to the club in the summer.
