Former Milan owner and ex-Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is no more and that has been confirmed by various outlets in Italy.
Sky Italia have now confirmed what was previously reported by Corriere della Sera, stating that the former Prime Minister had been hospitalized in San Raffaele due to his worsening conditions. It was the second time that the 86-year-old was hospitalised in recent months. Several people are now at San Raffaele to express their sadness about his death.
His brother Paolo and his children Eleonora, Barbara, Marina and Pier Silvio are in the San Raffaele hospital where Silvio died this morning. Everyone had arrived within minutes.
He was one of the most successful owners in club football history, having overseen Milan’s golden period in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was president of Milan from 1986 to 2004 and remained owner until 2017. Under his presidency, the Rossoneri made football history, winning five European Cups.
