Turkish Champions Galatasaray have set their sights on yet another Serie A player in the name of Luka Jovic. The club is looking to bring the Fiorentina striker to Istanbul in the upcoming transfer window.
On Friday, Galatasaray have reignited their interest in Luka Jovic, according to FirenzeViola.it. The Turkish side have contacted Jovic’ agent and entourage for exploratory talks about a possible deal. Jovic’ transfer is also linked to the possible departure of ex-Inter striker Mauro Icardi, who’ll return to PSG from loan.
Jovic’ time at Fiorentina hasn’t been the biggest success yet. In 50 matches for La Viola, the 25-year-old found the net 13 times. Jovic also started in the Conference League Final, which Fiorentina lost 1-2. The Serbian wouldn’t be the first Serie A player to join the Turkish Champions. Nicolò Zaniolo (AS Roma), Lucas Torreira (Fiorentina) and Dries Mertens (Napoli). Jovic could be next on the shopping list.
