Giorgio Scalvini on Atalanta future: “I’m fine at Atalanta”

Atalanta starlet Giorgio Scalvini has spoken up about his future at the club, stating that he is doing his fine at La Dea and isn’t thinking too much about interest from other clubs.

The defender has been linked with a host of other clubs across Europe, including not just Inter but the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Manchester United have also been linked with the Italy international in recent months.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport recently, Scalvini opened up about a host of things about his career and his situation currently. He was asked about interest from the big European giants and he revealed that he is quite content at La Dea currently.

“I’m fine at Atalanta. I’ve never listened to much, and in any case it has never shaken me that much, so I don’t see any worrying signs. Maybe there will come a day when I’ll have to think about it, but it can only happen if I do well in the present.”

Scalvini also spoke about how Gian Piero Gasperini treats him as a 30-year-old player despite him being quite young. He revealed this when asked about one thing that Gasperini and Roberto Mancini have told him a lot about.

“There are many things from Gasperini but there is one thing that both have told me a lot: ‘you are very young but I will treat you like a 30-year-old player”

The 19-year-old has impressed for the side since making his debut last season. He has made 24 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring two goals.
