Inter have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Chelsea captain César Azpilicueta. A two-year-deal has been sealed.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on Friday evening that Inter and César Azpilicueta have reached a full agreement on personal terms. The Spanish defender has a contract with the Blues until 2024, but they are expected to terminate that contract. Romano adds that there has always been genuine respect between Azpilicueta and Chelsea.
Azpilicueta could replace Milan Skriniar in the Inter defence. The Slovakian will leave the Nerazzurri to join Paris Saint Germain. The 33-year-old is a real veteran, with over ten seasons under his belt at Chelsea and many games for the Spanish National Team. Azpi won many prizes with Chelsea, most notably the Champions League and Premier League (twice).
This season, he featured in 32 games for the English club. Before Chelsea, Azpilicueta played for Osasuna and Olympique Marseille.
