With negotiations stalling between the Nerazzurri and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich regarding the acquisition of veteran goalkeeper Yan Sommer, Inter have deemed Sampdoria shot-stopper Emil Audero as their plan b in between the sticks in the case that the deal of the Swiss international collapses entirely.
FcInterNews reports that although Sommer remains the primary target for the goalkeeper position, talks between both parties have reached a stand-still as the Bavarians have failed to acquire Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvilli as a replacement for the 34 year-old, as well as Bayern having rejected the Benemata’s opening offer of €4m.
Whilst Inter are set to increase their offer to €5m, Inzaghi’s side have listed Audero as the ideal alternative for Sommer if Bayern refuse to release the former Borussia Monchengladbach keeper.
In addition, the Nerazzurri have added well-documented keepers Keylor Navas and Hugo Loris to the list of potential arrivals ahead of this year’s upcoming campaign.
