Inter’s Lautaro Martinez rejects Saudi Arabia approach

Inter’s Lautaro Martinez has reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (viaTuttomercatoweb) reported that the Argentine World Cup winner was being targeted in a deal that could’ve seen the player earn up to €240million over a five year contract.

However, both player and club have seemingly laughed off suggestions of a transfer with Inter reportedly wanting upwards of €120million, whilst Al-Hilal were hoping to begin discussions with an opening offer of half of that fee.

Fans of Inter will be encouraged to hear that their newly appointed captain is keen on staying put after the losses of the likes of the likes of Andre Onana, Marcelo Brozovic and Edin Dzeko in the last month or so.

It remains to be seen whether or not Al-Hilal, who have signed the likes of Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic already this summer, will come back with an improved offer.
