Whilst Inter show great desire to acquire Canadian international Tajon Buchanan as their first choice on the right-hand flank to fill the void caused by the long-term injury of Juan Cuadrado, the Nerazzurri have short-listed two alternative signings for the right wing-back position in the January transfer window.
As it stands, the former Juventus player is set to sit out for nearly three months as he is undergoing surgery on his tendon, leaving coach Simone Inzaghi with a lack of depth in the wing-back position heading into the second half of the campaign.
Whilst the Benemata may not have the financial resources to meet Club Brugge’s €50m evaluation and compete with Manchester City for Buchanan’s signature, Inter have identified several options to bolster their squad in an urgent matter.
La Reppublica reports, via FcInter1908, that Inter are considering bringing Borussia Dortmund wing-back Thomas Meunier on loan in the winter transfer window. Moreoever, the Nerazzurri are earmarking Salerntiana duo Antonio Candreva and Pasquale Mazzochi as options out-wide.
