Inter offered Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly

Inter were recently offered a chance to sign Chelsea and former Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that an intermediary had offered Inter the chance to sign Koulibaly as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar, after they failed in moves for Tiago Djalo and Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof.

As of now, Koulibaly’s wage of around €10 million per season is not something Inter or the Zhang family can afford to pay on top of any loan or transfer fee. The more concrete targets now are Atalanta’s Merih Demiral and Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavrapanos.

Inter did attempt to sign Demiral yesterday but couldn’t make progress, as La Dea want to sell him permanently instead of doing a loan deal initially.

Skriniar has agreed to join PSG in the summer but him joining the club on deadline day can’t be ruled out yet, as the player is said to be keen on the move.
