Inter prepared to trigger release clause of Bayern shot-stopper Yan Sommer

Inter are prepared to make a move in sealing the signing of Bayern Munich shot-stopper Yan Sommer following the sale of Champions League hero Andre Onana to Manchester United.

TuttomercatoWeb reports that the Nerazzurri are set to trigger the release €8m of the Swiss international in order to fill the void in between the sticks as the Benemata have accepted a hefty fee of €50m from the Red Devils for the former Ajax keeper, despite the Cameroonian having only spent one season at the San Siro.

Throughout his career, the 34 year-old has made a total of 291 appearances within the Bundesliga, helping the Bavarians clinch the league-title last season after having departed Borussia Monchengladbach throughout the winter transfer window.

Inzaghi’s side is eager to complete the deal as Sommer offers a handful of leadership and experience to the Milanese club, which will play a vital role as the Biscione aim to seize their twentieth Scudetto.
