Inter pull out of race for Arsenalโ€™s Folarin Balogun

Inter have now pulled out of their chase for Arsenalโ€™s Folarin Balogun and are now focusing on two other names.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Inter have now informed Arsenal that they are out of the race for the USA international and the same has been communicated to the playerโ€™s entourage. Balogun was at the top of Interโ€™s shortlist some days but the situation has now changed, as the price for the striker increased and Arsenalโ€™s insistence on Nicolo Barella didnโ€™t sit well with the Nerazzurri as the Italian is considered unsellable.

Inter will now focus on two names โ€“ Mehdi Taremi and Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic. Inter want to go slightly beyond the โ‚ฌ25 million mark for Taremi, as they look to come close to โ‚ฌ30 million asking price. As for the Austrian, Inter are confident that he will be soon released by the Rossoblu, giving them a chance of signing him for free.
