Inter sporting director spoke to agent of Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has recently held talks with the agent of Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about Ausilio’s recent trip to Barcelona, where he spoke to the Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany. He also met Eduardo Crnjar, who represents De Zerbi currently. Ausilio was in Barcelona yesterday and he held several meetings.

Inter spoke to Barcelona about Ronald Araujo, but the Catalan side’s asking price remains out of the Nerazzurri’s range. But De Zerbi might be much more within their reach and he is currently their top priority to replace Simone Inzaghi at the club.

Other details of the meetings involving Ausilio remain ‘top secret’, report the outlet. They go on to speculate that the meetings could have involved talks for a potential swap deal involving Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie and it was something which was talked about in the January transfer window. Brozovic is appreciated by Barcelona and Kessie is someone who could be quite interested in a move to Serie A.
