An update on Juventusโ rumoured pursuit of Manchester City star Kalvin Phillips has been provided on Tuesday.
The name of midfielder Phillips has of course dominated the headlines at the Allianz Stadium over recent weeks.
This comes amid widespread reports that the England international, out of favour at Man City owing to a long-term fitness struggle, has been identified as a prime target to reinforce Juveโs ranks in the middle of the park.
Massimiliano Allegriโs engine room is in desperate need of fresh blood, owing to the respective bans handed down to Paul Pogba and Nicolรฒ Fagioli.
And Phillips is evidently viewed as a potential low-risk, low-cost addition.
In fact, as confirmed by international transfer intermediary Stefano Antonelli, who has worked closely with Juve that the Bianconeri will only move for the former Leeds United standout if a loan deal with no obligation to buy can be agreed.
Speaking in an interview with TuttomercatoWeb, Antonelli explained:
โJuventus would take Phillips on a well-paid, expensive loan, with an option to buy per goal, because they wonโt have obligations to buy.โ
He continued:
โThen someone will sell in the Premier League , there โฌ25 million- โฌ30 million is an acceptable and possible budget, not here. There isnโt one of the top six in Italy that will put such figures on the table for someone in January.โ
