Italy look to host Euro 2032

Italy are now looking to launch their candidacy to host EURO 2032 and they’re planning to use 11 cities.

Il Messaggero claim that the go-ahead to potentially host the tournament has arrived from Italy’s Culture Commission of the Senate after FIGC had initially proposed the idea. The government has ensured that it will guarantee the necessary support to improve sports infrastructures and to take initiatives to promote territories and bring about a higher visibility in international tournaments.

The 11 cities that are in contention to host the tournament are Milan, Turin, Verona, Bologna, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples, Cagliari, Bari and Palermo. By the end of the month, FIGC will have to come up with a list of ten cities from the possible 11 and it will be known between September and October as to whether Italy can host the tournament or not. FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has already expressed his approval for the resolution.
