Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti was stretchered off the pitch in the club’s game against Salernitana and the club have now revealed more details about his injury.
The club’s official statement on their website has now come out, with the Bianconeri confirming that the player underwent radiological tests today and they state that the midfielder has not sustained any fracture. He only ‘sprained’ in ankle in Salerno and he will begin rehabilitation soon.
The Old Lady do not confirm as to when Miretti will be out till. The Italian was replaced by compatriot Nicolo Fagioli yesterday.
Miretti, currently 19, has made 18 Serie A appearances this season and has racked up two assists. He broke into the first team at the end of the previous season and he had impressed at that point and early in the campaign for the Bianconeri. While his absence is vital for Juve, Fagioli’s presence could ease things up.
