Juventus interested in Lille’s Tiago Djalò

Juventus are looking to reinforce their defence and are eyeing a move for Lille’s Tiago Djalò.

According to a report by Filippo Cornacchia of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are exploring a strategy to land Ligue 1 side Lille defender Tiago Djalò as a new signing next summer.

The versatile Portuguese defender plays predominantly as a centre-back but can be deployed as a full-back on either flank. Due to an ACL injury, Djalò has been out for seven months but is nearing his return to the pitch after facing a few problems at the end of his recovery. He has been previously linked with a move to Inter in the past.

The 23-year-old’s contract ends in the summer of 2024 and the Bianconeri will aim to capitalise on this opportunity to sign him on free agency. The potential signing of Tiago Djalò is seen as a long-term investment to strengthen Juventus’ defence. However, the club will assess the player’s injury situation and recovery before making any concrete progress.
