Roma’s Nicola Zalewski yet to be investigated for illegal betting

Roma player Nicola Zalewski is yet to be investigated by the public prosecutors regarding his alleged involvement in illegal betting.

According to a report by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, there is no concrete evidence supporting the claims that Nicola Zalewski actually bet on some illegal platforms. Federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chine is heading the investigation against the Polish winger but he has not explored the case in depth.

Roma are awaiting official statements from the prosecution and will then move on to issue communications of their own, possibly defending themselves.

Elsewhere, Nicolo Zanioli, Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Fagioli are also getting tried for the same case. While these players have confessed to betting or playing on illegal platforms, Zalewski didn’t involve himself directly in betting illegally as far as reports from investigations persist till now.

Lawyers of the 21-year-old are considering legal action against Paparazzi Fabrizio Corona who revealed the player’s name, alleging him of committing the crime.
