Juventus set to hold talks over Federico Chiesa contract renewal

Serie A giants Juventus are soon expected to hold talks over a contract renewal of club star Federico Chiesa.

The Italian was linked with a move away from the club in the summer but he stayed and turned a corner at the club, with the 25-year-old having scored four times and having one assist so far in the season.

Fabiana della Valle has now reported that Juve are happy with Chiesa’s progress so far in the campaign and want to hand him a one-year extension to make sure they don’t lose him for free two summers later. Cristiano Guintoli’s arrival has been vital in this regard and it was key to making sure that Chiesa stayed in the summer.

Guintoli is soon expected to meet with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani to resume contacts between the two parties, with the meeting likely to happen by the end of 2023. Juve want to renew his deal till the summer of 2026 and they want to make sure that his wages remain the same as they currently are.

At the end of the season, Chiesa will consider whether to listen to any offers regarding an exit or not, with Juve also willing to consider an exit as they simply don’t want to lose him for free.
