The lawyers of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus are set for a trial in early October, with the Portuguese star fighting to get paid unpaid wages from the Bianconeri.
Ronaldo has already decided to sue the Old Lady for the wages they are yet to pay him from the COVID-19 era. The Bianconeri had deferred wages of the club’s players during that period and then struck private agreements with a host of players to defer more wages and Ronaldo was one of those players.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) today state that the dispute over €19.5 million that is potentially due is carrying on. Juve have not opened up to the possibility of paying the amount to the Portuguese, who has now looked towards the Arbitration Panel to seek a solution about the situation. As a result, his own lawyers and Juventus’ lawyers will have a trial on the 4th of October and it will determine the next possible steps in the saga.
