Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz has on Tuesday provided an insight into both his decision to link up with the Bianconeri, and on his future with the club.
Midfielder Yildiz is of course held in extremely high regard in Turin, viewed as a star in the making by the Juve staff and fanbase alike. He has been afforded a total of six appearances off the bench across the season to date, but Massimiliano Allegri recently made clear his intention to increase the 18-year-oldโs game-time over the weeks and months ahead.
Speaking as part of the clubโs โThe Best is yet to Comeโ documentary earlier today, Yildiz, in turn, was drawn on a host of topics, including the process which ultimately led him to taking his talents to Italy.
The Turkish international is a product of the youth setup at German heavyweights Bayern Munich, with many having been surprised by his decision to leave the Bavarians in the rear view to link up with Juve.
Yildiz, though, has revealed that the Old Lady afforded him โthe best optionโ to continue his career, โhappyโ with his choice.
โAt three years old I started playing football, at seven I was already in Bayern Munich,โ he explained, as cited by TuttomercatoWeb from the recent Juventus documentary.ย
โWhen I expired with them, Juventus offered me the best option for the continuation of my career and I am happy to have chosen Turin.โ
Amid recent links to the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, Yildiz was then asked whether he has spoken to Juve about the possibility of a January exit.
The youngster, however, revealed that no talks have taken place with โtough guyโ Cristiano Giuntoli:
โDid I talk to Giuntoli about January? No, heโs a tough guy, too tough for me to deal with him.โ
