Lawyer of Barcelona’s Memphis Depay plays down Inter rumours

The lawyer of Barcelona forward Memphis Depay has played down the recent rumours linking him with a move to Inter.

Reports in Spain yesterday spoke about a potential swap deal involving Depay and Inter’s Joaquin Correa. Depay’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure has recently spoke to Fabrizio Romano about the rumours but he has revealed that there is nothing between the two partiees.

The lawyer told Romano: “There are no negotiations ongoing for Memphis to join Inter. I can deny all these links — it’s not a possibility we are discussing.”

Romano has also gone on to state that Depay will leave Barcelona this month, with rivals Atletico Madrid currently interested in him.

The Correa-Depay deal is not the only swap deal that has been talked about in recent days, as reports have claimed that Barcelona have proposed a deal involving Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie. But that deal is not taking off right even though both the players earn the same amount and have the same amount of time remaining in their contract.
