Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri unleashes anger onto club

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is not said to be happy with the club’s higher-ups for the manner in which they have handled transfers this summer.

Sarri was to have a meeting with club CEO Claudio Lotito and that meeting took place yesterday. Il Messaggero (via TMW) state that Sarri is not happy and he expected to have a very different transfer window from the one that the Roman club have had so far.

Last night, there was a long confrontation involving the manager and the staff of Angelo Fabiani, the club’s would-be sporting director, after misunderstandings had emerged in recent weeks. The Biancocelesti boss has not talked about resignation, which was an option some weeks ago but he trusted the club.

He unleashed anger at the Formello yesterday during the meeting, accusing the club of moving late in the window in terms of sealing targets and even from a corporate perspective. Sarri believes that there are many missing pieces in the squad and the manager had presented his targets to Claudio Lotito in March.

The situation is tense but the parties will work together, with Sarri hoping that the trend changes.
