Lazio fans investigated for anti-semetic chants against Napoli’s Victor Osimhen

A section of Lazio fans had used anti-semetic chants against Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and the FIGC is now investigating the situation.

Sky Italia claim that the FIGC prosecutor’s investigation started with some videos that appeared on social media and they showed about a 100 Lazio fans singing the anti-Semetic chants against the Nigerian striker.

In the same game on Friday, some Lazio fans had thrown firecrackers from the away stands and had abused Napoli fans and the Biancocelesti have already been fined about €15,000 for the actions of the fans.

Not too long ago, a section of Lazio fans had racially abused Lecce players Samuel Umtiti and Lameck Banda and as a result, the club was handed a partial stadium ban. Umtiti had left the pitch in tears after the incident, which brought attention from FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who supported both the players in light of the racist abuse.
