Lazio are not willing to give up on their pursuit of Torino central midfielder Samuele Ricci despite reaching an impasse within the negotiations amongst both clubs.
TMW reports that despite the Biancocelesti having their initial offer of €18m rejected by the Granata as it was well below their asking price of between €25m-€30m, Lotito has made contact with Cairo yesterday throughout the daytime in order to settle an agreement regarding the transfer fee of the promising Italian international.
Within last year’s campaign, the 21 year-old central play-maker was key asset for Juric within the central area of the pitch, taking part in 32 matches across all competitions, tallying two goals and an assist throughout the entirety of the season.
Although Ricci has commenced his pre-season training with Torino, it remains uncertain whether the rising star will remain with the Granata as he attracted a great deal of interest due to his impressive displays since arriving from Empoli within the transfer market of the 2021-22 campaign.
Lazio view Ricci as the ideal player that will assist in filling the major void within the midfield following the recent departure of Serbian international Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al Hilal.
