Liverpool are indeed interested in signing Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat and are now pursuing their move for the Moroccan.
While Gianluca di Marzio has reported that contacts have taken place between Liverpool and intermediaries for Amrabat, FirenzeViola believe that there is more to this than just that.
They state that Jurgen Klopp is keen on having another midfielder in the side and he has already given an approval to a move for Amrabat many months ago, which shows how far back Liverpool’s interest traces back to. But over the last two days, Liverpool have been in contact with Fiorentina too, with Klopp having already privately held talks with the Morocco international over a move.
Talks are now on regarding the move and new developments can be made soon, with Manchester United yet to make any concrete attempt for the ex-Verona man. West Ham have also been linked with Amrabat but they too haven’t come forward for him so far.
