Liverpool are now trying to beat Manchester United in the chase for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat and have now initiated contact for the player.
While reports in the Netherlands have spoken of Amrabat being close to joining Liverpool, Gianluca di Marzio has reported about something along those lines. Liverpool are interested in the Morocco international but the deal is far from being done.
Recently, contact was made by the Reds but those contacts happened through intermediaries, who have been appointed by the Moroccan himself as he looks to depart the Artemio Franchi this summer.
United have been linked with the midfielder over the last few weeks but no offer has arrived for him and United are yet to submit any formal proposal, as they continue to work on sales despite their need for a new midfielder, amidst links with the likes of Kephrem Thuram and Amadou Onana.
