Maurizio Sarri yet to speak to Djibril Sow about Lazio move

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri is yet to speak to Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow about a potential move to the Roman club.

Some days ago, it seemed as the Swiss midfielder was set to join the Roman club. But Sevilla have entered the race and Alfredo Pedulla has provided some details about the situation, which is getting tricky for the Biancocelesti.

Lazio have the documents ready for Sow and they have been countersigned by Eintracht Frankfurt despite the fact that the player wasnโ€™t on Sarriโ€™s shortlist of targets. The agreed fee is โ‚ฌ15 million to โ‚ฌ16 million including bonuses. Sevillaโ€™s interest is concrete and Sowโ€™s agent has asked the player to take some time to make a decision.

Lazio have been told that a response will be given soon, with the player said to be a Claudio Lotito target. There is talk elsewhere about the fact that Sarri will speak to Sow soon to convince him about a move, but Pedulla states that he will not. Sarri believes that the offer has been made and accepted and he has no further role to play and he wasnโ€™t his choice anyway.
