Serie A giants Napoli continue to look for a replacement for Kim Min-Jae and have now intensified contacts for Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that while Napoli still have an agreement over personal terms with Kevin Danso, Lensโ asking price is still at over โฌ25 million and that is considered to be too high. And now, the Partenopei are considering alternatives and work is being done on that front.
The first contacts with Mavrapanosโ entourage date back to the spring and there was an openness to a move to the Maradona. Contacts between the two parties have now intensified and Napoli want to have a new defender soon, with Rudi Garcia pushing to have a Kim replacement at the clubโs training camp at Castel di Sangro.
Napoli have earmarked โฌ15 million for the centre-back signing and the ex-Arsenal man is expected to cost around that fee. Other names on the shortlist are Max Kilman and Ko Itakura.
