Milan and Newcastle United are set to hold a decisive meeting for the transfer of Sandro Tonali, as they look to close the deal for the midfielder.
Sky Italia report that Magpies sporting director Dan Ashworth is currently in Milan to speak to the Rossoneri about the deal. Newcastleโs latest offer stands at โฌ70 million plus โฌ5 million in bonuses, but Milan want โฌ80 million to close the move and sell the midfielder.
Tonali is one step away from joining the club, having already agreed personal terms over a move. He will sign a six-year deal worth โฌ8 million per season and bonuses of โฌ2 million per season, pretty much tripling his current wage at the Rossoneri. Today is expected to be a decisive day in the saga, which has taken off very quickly over the last two days.
The distance between the two clubs is quite low and they are expected to thrash out a deal soon.
