Milan close to sealing move for Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Milan are now close to sealing a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with the two clubs close to reaching an agreement.

Daniele Longo has reported about the situation of Loftus-Cheek, stating that Geoffrey Moncada and club CEO Giorgio Furlani are now in the final stages of negotiations with Chelsea. It will be a permanent transfer of €15 million, with the midfielder set to occupy one of two the non-EU slots in the Milan side.

Milan will benefit from the advantages of the Growth Decree for Loftus-Cheek as it allowed a subsidised tax regime from 1 January 2020 for workers. In this case, it applies to players who have not been resident in Italy in the previous two years and who will do so for the following two.

Loftus-Cheek played 33 games in all competitions last season, scoring two goals for Chelsea. During his time at Chelsea, he also spent two loan stints – with one coming at Crystal Palace and another coming at Fulham.
