Milan commence profound search for central midfielder in summer market

Milan are prepared to commence a profound search for an additional central midfielder within the summer market in preparations for next year’s campaign.

As it stands, Spainard Brahim Diaz’s future is yet to be decided as his loan from Madrid nears expiration. In addition, Ismael Bennacer is set to held at bay for several months after undergoing arthroscopic surgery following a knee injury that was suffered within the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Inter.

Consequently, the potential void within the central area of the park requires the Rossonerri camp to hunt for a creative-minded midfielder ahead of next season.

Tuttosport, via MilanNews, reports that the Milanese club’s primary summer targets are Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Frankfurt’s Daichi Kamada. With the Englishmen struggling for playing time and the Japanese international’s contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, the two players are targets that are considered quite feasible for Milan.

In addition, Milan have also added Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz to the shortlist, who has had an impressive four-month stint, scoring four goals since joining the Saints in January from Argentinian outfits Racing Club, as well as Gimanasia La Plata’s Igancio Miramon, 19 year-old attacking midfielder who is currently being evaluated by Manchester United.
