Milan handed midfield boost ahead of Udinese clash

Stefano Pioli’s Milan have been afforded a timely boost on the personnel front, ahead of the club’s upcoming meeting with Udinese.

This comes amid confirmation that Ruben Loftus-Cheek has returned to first-team training.

The subject of injury concerns has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Milan over the course of the last week, after all of Christian Pulisic, Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino were struck down by respective problems.

Safe to say, then, that the Rossoneri were due some good luck, ahead of Saturday’s Serie A showdown with Udinese.

And, on Thursday, this is precisely what Pioli and co. have been afforded.

As per a report from Sky Italia‘s Gianluca Di Marzio, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, sidelined for the last month owing to an abdominal injury, has rejoined his Milan teammates in full training.

The former Chelsea man is therefore expected to be in contention to feature against Udinese, albeit with next Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain perhaps a more realistic comeback target.
